Steam In-Home Streaming Beta Registration Now Open

Sign-ups for Steam’s upcoming In-Home Streaming feature are now open. Closed testing will begin in the next two months.

In-Home Streaming will allow users to play PC games on other machines within their house, such as those running Valve’s upcoming Linux-based SteamOS. Users interested in beta-testing the feature may join the Steam group for a chance to be randomly selected as a tester. The group will also be the venue where Valve developers are most vocal about the future of the system. It’s a discussion forum for suggested features, current problems, and hypothetical setups.

Earlier this month, we learned that Valve has no plans to encourage costumers to buy into the Steam Machine by producing exclusive games or applications for the SteamOS.
