Steam Outs The Walking Dead: Season 2 Release Date
Oh, hey The Walking Dead: Season 2, looks like you’ll be released on December 17.
The folks at Telltale have yet to make an official announcement themselves, but the latest Steam update beat them to the punch. The Steam page for The Walking Dead: Season 2 also provides an overview of the zombie survival adventure’s storyline:
The Walking Dead: Season Two continues the story of Clementine, a young girl orphaned by the undead apocalypse. Left to fend for herself, she has been forced to learn how to survive in a world gone mad.
Many months have passed since the events seen in Season One of The Walking Dead, and Clementine is searching for safety. But what can an ordinary child do to stay alive when the living can be just as bad – and sometimes worse – than the dead? As Clementine, you will be tested by situations and dilemmas that will test your morals and your instinct for survival. Your decisions and actions will change the story around you, in this sequel to 2012’s Game of the Year.
The Walking Dead: Season Two will, like its predecessor, be an episodic adventure, so while it appears we’ll be playing the first episode on December 17, there is no word yet on when we can expect additional chapters. You can save yourself a few bucks by picking up the whole package now on Steam or directly through Telltale for $22.50.
This should be interesting. Protecting Clementine really drove my playthrough of The Walking Dead. I was ready to throw Lee in front of the zombie horde at any moment if it meant saving her. So I’m not sure how Telltale will replace that key element or what it will be like actually walking in Clem’s kid shoes for an entire season. We’ll find out in a week and four days.
