I came across the most amazing monitor mod I have ever seen. Steampunk took a Dell 1907FP monitor and turned it into a retro piece of art. How many of you have monitors with marble bases? I didn’t think so. Check out his site to find out exactly how he put this thing together. I’d have to say that this entire setup is unlike anything I have seen in the past. Basically what we are looking at here is a 19th Century gaming machine.

If he starts marketing this, I’m convinced he’ll get a pretty penny for it. I’d certainly be interested. It makes your computer a nice conversation piece to the non-tech crowd. And it looks dead sexy to boot !

A distribution would be awesome, but there may be an issue as it’s based off the dell monitor (ie, not one he did from scratch). Looks grand.

true. I guess if he advertised it as a Dell monitor that has been modified, he could get away with it. Basically he could bill you for the monitor as a distributor and then charge you extra for the mods. The only downfall would be loss in warranty.
