Strong PC Sales Please Alan Wake Devs

We loved Alan Wake’s PC version — it’s the kind of port that should be attempted more often, with souped-up graphics, great extra features, and an attractive price tag. So much the better, then, when it was revealed that strong sales numbers enabled developers Remedy Entertainment to recoup development and marketing expenses within just two days.

No one was more pleased than Aki Jarvilehto, Remedy’s executive VP: “Alan Wake on the PC has been something both us and the fans have wanted since the original Alan Wake was released. It’s been such a long journey and now that the game is finally out, it’s very emotional to see such a positive fan reaction to it. We hold PC games very dear to our hearts at Remedy, so in a lot of ways, this feels like finding a lost child, you get to reconnect with something you love and cherish and want to spend more time with it in the future.”

We hold PC games dear to our hearts at GameFront too, so let us go on record: Remedy Entertainment, please ensure that your forthcoming Alan Wake sequel ships a PC version on launch day.

Sadly, I doubt this will happen. They probably made a deal with MS to release it exclusively for the Xbox360 (for X amount of years).

People buying PC games will encourage devs to bring more games to PC.
