Super Mario Playground

marioplayground1-1.jpg

Growing up, I always wanted to step into Mario’s world, if nothing more than to bash my head into brick ceilings without the subsequent head injury. Apparently someone shared a similar dream, which would explain why a very Mario-esque play area has sprung up in south Florida’s Aventura Mall. Designed by the Miami-based art collective, Friends With You, this colorful playground features smiling mountains, rainbow bridges, and…hey, wait, what are you kids doing? Hey, don’t climb on that! This is not for your amusement; this is art! Get off, get off, get off!

Mario DOESNT BREAK BRICKS WITH HIS HEAD!
Take a closer look at him… He breaks them with his FIST!
He always jumps with his fist pointing upwards.
