Super Smash Bros. Brawl has been fantastic as a multi-player game, but hasn’t had much to offer for the single player. According to the latest news on the dojo, Nintendo is aiming to change that. It has incorporated a single-player side-scrolling action game; Adventure mode into Brawl. The storyline, entitled The Subspace Emissary, is driven by quick movies and emphasizes character development. Players will cheer on their favorite characters as they struggle to overcome their personal histories and individual burdens.
All these well loved characters in one game promises to make playing The Subspace Emissary a unique and exciting experience. I’m not sure that Super Smash Bros. Brawl needs a single-player mode, but I’m thinking of it as a bonus… if it’s well executed.
There are many small pictures and a short teaser video for The Subspace Emissary up on the dojo for your viewing pleasure.
