SWTOR Alters the Deal, Prevents Users from Unsubscribing

Through some kind of goofy bug going on right now with Star Wars: The Old Republic, some users are finding the unsubscribe option for the game…unavailable.

According to BioWare, the trouble of the unsubscribe button disappearing on SWTOR.com, where users can access their accounts, might be a browser issue, and the developer is looking into it. There’s a pretty simple workaround — just call customer service to cancel your account. Done and done.

The troubling thing is, tomorrow is the day when SWTOR players will actually have to start paying subscription fees for the game, so undoubtedly there’s a rush to get out from under the $15 charge while the getting is good. As mentioned above, you can always call customer service to cancel your account. Other than that, it seems like the error will persist until BioWare and Electronic Arts figure out what the issue is.

So what if that happens to occur on Saturday, the day after the billing cycle roll over? As one Sith Lord might ask: Perhaps you think you’re being treated unfairly?

lmfao that would be extremely good timing for the unsubscribe button to not work just before the month is up..
