Syberia 3 Officially Announced

The third installment in the cult point-and-click adventure series Syberia has been officially announced by publisher Anuman Interactive. Syberia 3 will be developed by Microïds, the same team that created the original two games, and artistic director Benoit Sokal is returning as well.

Sokal has signed a deal to deliver the game’s script next year, and the final game is scheduled for a multiplatform release in 2014/2015.

Syberia 3 was originally announced for PC and PS3 on April 1st, 2009, with a press release a few weeks later explaining that the PS3 version may not be released due to issues with Sony. Developer Microïds set a June 2010 release date that it later postponed to the following year. In 2011, it was revealed that work on Syberia 3 had not yet started.
