Syndicate Wars Spirtual Successor, Satellite Reign, Looks Fantastic

Remember how excited we all were when Starbreeze announced it was making a new Syndicate? Juxtapose that with the disappointment we felt when it was revealed as a first-person shooter.

Yeah, not so fun. Well, old-school Syndicate fans, it’s time to get excited again. Mike Diskett, the game director for Bullfrog’s Syndicate Wars, is making a spiritual successor called Satellite Reign, and as the first gameplay video proves, it’s actually a new Syndicate game. For real this time:

I hope you’ll forgive me eschewing all journalistic integrity for a moment… I CAN’T WAIT TO PLAY THIS.

Syndicate is among my PC gaming pantheon and Satellite Reign looks like everything I want in an updated version. It’s tentatively scheduled to hit PC, Max, and Linux in December of this year.

We’ll keep you posted, but for now, keep an eye on the official Satellite Reign website.

Finally a game as real as the original. it took a lot of mistakes for this to happen future elements are hard to crack. Brilliant to see this happen. More follow ups need this sort of mindset. Looks excellent. :)
