Tactics Ogre Remake Coming to PSP

There have been rumors for awhile that Square-Enix  was not going to abandon the Tactics Ogre series, but no one knew when it would return. Well we still don’t know when but we have confirmation thanks to a post on Kotaku that the original creative team for the turn-based strategy title are back together working on a PSP remake of the classic title.

Director Hiroshi Minagawa, character designer Akihiko Yoshida, game designer Yasumi Matsuno, and composers Hitoshi Sakimoto and Masaharu Iwata have all returned to revitalize and update the game for the new console and the new generation of players. The game will include the same story as the original Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together but will be expanded tactical systems, new graphics and some new characters to reflect the advances made in game design in the last decade+ since the games initial release.

No release date was given for the new game but I’m sure I’ll add this game to my collection right next to Disgaea 1 & 2 and Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions.
