Take Two Considering BioShock MMO, Mobile Game, and Movie?

When Take Two rejected EA’s buyout offer this morning, they obviously had to sell that decision to the stockholders first. For part of this, they decided to list “Potential Untapped Opportunities” the company might be able to mine in the future. These opportunities included MMOs, mobile games, and films, all of which could bear the “BioShock” name. Of course, it’s hard to tell if these are serious considerations or just ideas that someone came up with desperately to convince shareholders to toss out EA’s offer. Still, this wouldn’t be the first time the idea of a BioShock movie has been tossed out. However, the idea of a BioShock MMO both frightens and intrigues me.

Bioshock mmo … LOL
It wasn’t even a great game to begin with, horrible texture popups, cookie cutter ai and interface bugs. The story was also extremely boring and the game was super short.

I think the mmo could work with the story, sort of.

Everyone’s in rapture, and its PVP.

i’m rather liking Bioshock and I’m a longtime FPS player. sure it’s a little dumbed down and on the easy side but it’s fun. like Doom 3 in its day, it’s a showcase of AWESOME technology. when the game first started. i sat for 2 minutes before I realized the fire on the ocean was the GAME and not an FMV. and unless you have a fear of old-timey things, how could you NOT love the aesthetics? the 40s-60s theme was amazing.

if it were an MMOFPS i think it would be a great idea.

Bioshock wasn’t that great a game as Bounce said, AI was crap, it was as if they played too much StarCraft and would just Zerg Rush at you, anyone that had played System Shock had basically played Bioshock, innovation and originality are truly lost in the world of video games.
