Take-Two: “Nothing For Us To Say About” GTA 5 on PC
On this afternoon’s Take-Two Interactive earnings call with investors, company principals were asked if they had any news on a port of Grand Theft Auto 5 for the PC. Since neither T2 nor Rockstar have offered up any information on that topic unprompted, it’s not a surprise that T2 president Karl Slatoff’s response was empty.
“At this point there’s really nothing for us to say about that,” Slatoff said.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said previously in the call that discussions about the future of individual properties will be left to the labels, meaning that when the time comes to reveal a PC version of GTA 5, Rockstar is going to be the one doing the talking.
We’ve heard rumblings about it incessantly, however, from a launch in the next several months to imminent pre-orders. Even though Red Dead Redemption never hit PC, it’s been considered a given that GTA 5 would, with the expectation it would do so within a year of initial launch.
It would be quite nice to get some AA up in that game, I have to say.
