Take-Two Sees Hefty Losses in Q2

Take-Two announced today that they suffered $47 million in losses during the last quarter, which is a lot of money, or so I’m told. But it’s not all bad for them; LA Noire sold well, and 25% of their earnings during that period came from digital stuff, which is a lot for that kind of thing.

Really, this drop in sales probably didn’t surprise anyone, as they didn’t have much new stuff out there in the marketplace anyway. Things are looking up, too, although maybe not this quarter, what with NBA 2K12 not selling well with the NBA lockout going on; they’ve got two Rockstar titles [presumably] coming out early next year in Max Payne 3 and GTA V, and those are always big deals.
