Telltale Planning Additional Walking Dead Titles
Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead has met with some serious critical and fan acclaim for its first two of five episodes — so much so, it seems, that the developer is planning more point-and-click titles in the graphic novel’s universe.
Speaking with Polygon, Telltale confirmed that there would be other “seasons” in the franchise of The Walking Dead, although there aren’t many details as yet. Telltale also said it’s planning on a full retail release of the current season of the game, combining all five episodes at a cost of $25. Telltale did the same for Back to the Future: The Game, which was released last year.
According to Telltale, already The Walking Dead has sold 1.7 million copies, with three episodes yet to go. The developer confirmed this week that Episode 3 would launch sometime in mid-August. Activision also has a first-person shooter title in the works based on AMC’s The Walking Dead television series.
