Ten Most Popular MMOS by Active Users

mmosBlake Snow over at GigaOM.com has posted an article divulging the Top 10 most popular MMO games according to active users. Now, before I have lunatic fans of Vampire: TM banging on my door and threatening to bite my neck and suck the life out of me, please note that I am not the one who made this list, as I am sure Blake did not either- if you are upset, just find more lovers of the undead to join up. Anne Rice should have enough freaks hanging outside her home participating in a candlelight vigil, or if you strike out there, go to Bar Sinister in Hollywood where there are a number of vampire aficiandos.

Here is the list:

  1. World of Warcraft (of course) -8.5 million
  2. Habbo Hotel – 7.5 million
  3. Runescape – 5 million
  4. Club Penguin- 4 million
  5. Webkinz – 3.8 million
  6. Gaia Online- 2 million
  7. Guild Wars – 2 million
  8. Puzzle Pirates -1.5 million
  9. Lineage 1 and 2 – 1 million
  10. Second Life – 500, 000
