TERA Going F2P This February

Starting in February 2013, MMORPG TERA will be free to play. The exact date has not been revealed yet and will be disclosed in the near future.

If you are a current subscriber to TERA your remaining game time will be converted into “elite game time” and rounded up to the nearest 30-day mark. Those who have purchased a copy of TERA (Digital or Physical) will have the “founder” account status.

For more information on the different account tiers, visit the official website.

TERA went partially free-to-play in November 2012 with its “Discovery Edition” that allowed players to level up to 28 without paying a cent.

Was the subscription fee what was preventing you from playing TERA?

Yes, I’m now gonna ogle some hot pixel chicks while enjoying a more action based MMO while wishing GW2 had this action style.

I stopped playing WOW to play Star wars the old republic.
I stopped playing SWTOR to play Guild Wars.
Then when SWTOR became free to play I stopped playing Guild Wars.
After playing Swtor for one day I went back to WOW and stopped playing both GW2 and SWTOR.

So I dont see myself playing Tera.
