TF2′s Heavy and Pyro Join Sonic & Sega All Stars Racing
Sonic’s never been big on the PC, but Sega plans to change all of that (or at least some of it) with Sonic and SEGA All-Stars Racing Transformed, an upcoming kart racer featuring the eponymous Sonic and other SEGA characters. The game’s roster includes fan favorites like Dr. Eggman, Tails, AiAi, Amigo, and a few others. It’s a sequel to the vanilla cart racer, Sonic and SEGA All-Stars Racing, released a couple of years back.
Surprisingly enough, the PC version of the game includes both the Heavy and the Pyro from Team Fortress 2, both of whom count as a single character; the unseen tactician from Football Manager; and the heavily armored samurai from Shogun: Total War. The three characters (or four) are exclusive to the PC version of the game which comes out on Steam.
The game’s gimmick is that instead of riding a single kart throughout the entire track, vehicles can transform into airplanes and boats depending on the environment.
With over 20 characters to play as, the game is set across 25 tracks and offers 4-player split screen and an online mode with up to ten players.
