The Code Hero Kickstarter Dev Ran Out of Money

Code Hero developer Alex Peake has already spent all of the money pledged to his project via Kickstarter, but he has assured backers that the software will still see a release.

Alex Peake issued an apology for failing to update backers on the status of his project and stated that development is ongoing, with a second alpha release coming in the near future.

He later told Kotaku, “We are out of funds because we’ve paid a full time dev team for the last year to work on it.” Work on the project is now continuing on a volunteer basis.

Earlier this month, a Kickstarter campaign missed its $50,000 goal by only $28.
