The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – E3 Demo (Video)
Earlier today, a sneak peak of the fifth installment of The Elder Scrolls series, Skyrim, was broadcast at E3, showcasing the breadth of the epic fantasy game due for release on 11/11/11 — this coming November.
Skyrim will offer a wide world open to exploration, richly detailed on both a micro and macro scale. With over 150 dungeons and at least 300 hours of potential gameplay, Skyrim sounds like it’ll have more content than most MMORPGs.
Watch the E3 coverage here:
The game offers a mix of stealth, melee, and magic gameplay, depending on your style, and the ability to dual-wield any combination of one-handed weapons further adds to the diversity. Some familiar factions will return, namely the Thieves’ Guild, The Companions (for warriors), and the College of Winter’s Hold (for mages).
Dragons are a big feature in Skyrim, playing the part of dynamic boss creatures that can and will attack anything. They’re not scripted, so there’s no predicting how a dragon battle will go down. And on the note of going down, once dragons are injured enough, they lost the ability to fly and either land or crash to the gournd.
