The End is Nigh (Again) in the D3: Reaper of Souls Launch Trailer

Malthael, the Angel of Death, is coming to Sanctuary, and we’ll all get to see the impact he (she, it?) has when Diablo 3: Reaper of Souls arrives next week. For now, launch trailer.

A new character class (the Crusader), new abilities to learn for existing characters, new regions to explore, new modes, and more. It’s all packed into the $40 package, but those features only tell half the story.

With Reaper of Souls, Blizzard is putting the finishing touches on what is essentially a remake of Diablo 3. The Auction House is gone, the loot system has been overhauled, Paragon leveling transformed, and more. Blizzard took the many complaints about Diablo 3 to heart (namely, it’s not the experience Diablo 2 provided), and it has endeavored to do something about it.

So, roughly two years after the launch of Diablo 3, there are plenty of reasons to step back into Sanctuary with Reaper of Souls. Unfortunately, problems persist and some won’t be pleased by what they find. Our own CJ Miozzi breaks down both sides of the argument in these two features:
