The Escapist online gaming and gaming culture magazine has released a new issue with a holiday flare, “Under the Tree.” The writers of the Escapist explore memories of holidays past while savoring the games available this season.

Kyle Orland fights through the crowded release dates of games in “Holiday Rush.” “Santa’s Game Shop” tells Guy Stevens’ story of perseverance to entertain the world. In “Package Tactics: Giving Games on the Sly,” Andrew Eisen shares his secrets on surprising your kids during the holidays. The Escapist Associate Editor Russ Pitts commemorates his history with the Christmas tree in “The Year My Tree Tried to Kill Me.” And in “We Always Play Videogames,” Hanukkah gaming and togetherness keeps Leigh Alexander going through the rest of the year.

Get in the holiday mood with The Escapist Issue 126, “Under the Tree.”
