The Evolution of Nintendo Handhelds in GIF Form

Have you ever wondered what the evolution of the Nintendo handheld would look like if you took the very first Gameboy, and watched how it changed throughout the ages, going from Gameboy, to Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advance, and so on, until the Nintendo DS.

Normally, I wouldn’t consider something like this worth posting, but the fact that all of it is done in a sleekly animated GIF sealed the deal for this wonderful piece of gaming artwork by Frederik Wiedel. He runs a Dribbble page where you can see the rest of his work.

Nobody cares about handheld consoles except five year olds, that’s why the best games like Mass Effect and Call of Duty never find their way onto these systems. The only COD game that got released on Vita was by far the most awesome game on there, but didn’t sell as well as others because Vita is for s who don’t understand mature storytelling and expect every game to be like Final Phantasy 6.
