The Funniest Dialogue From The Grand Theft Auto Series
1) GTA Talk Radio Stations
The Grand Theft Auto games are named after the crime of stealing someone’s car – why else would they feature so much driving? So it makes sense then that Rockstar would put so much effort into the in-game radio stations players can listen to while driving. The series’ soundtrack albums are incredible of course, but the real reason to tune is to listen to the DJs, callers and commercials unique to each station. And the best of the lot are the series’ never-ending parodies of American talk radio.
From hilarious riffs on the wimpiness of NPR, to skewering reactionary right wing talk, every GTA game provides literally hours of fun simply sitting at your couch and listening. Commercials featuring angry divorcees? Done. On-air celebrity death? Check. Creepy relationship advice? Fernando is in the house. It would be impossible to nail down a single game or example. Instead, here’s the best of the best from all across the GTA Series.
Chatterbox from GTA III
Vice City Public Radio from GTA Vice City
WCTR from San Andreas
The Richard Bastion Show from GTA IV
PLR from GTA IV
