The Gears Of War Series Has Sold 19m Copies

We’ll keep this one short and sweet. As you know, Gear of War apparently proves you don’t need to make a game that makes sense, or gives players any kind of variety: you just need lots of guns and bloody, exploded alien hordes. How do I know this? Because the series has sold over 19 million copies over the lifetime of the series. The news was given by Microsoft to Joystiq yesterday.

That’s a lot of copies for a series that isn’t called Grand Theft Duty.
