Forget the debates over who the greatest video game hero or villain is; the real question is who’s the best video game horse of all time? Well, MTV set out to determine just that by compiling a crack team of video game experts asking them to name their top three video game horses. The panel included video game blogger, Leigh Alexander, co-founder of I Can Has Cheezburger, Tofuburger, Penny Arcade artist, Mike “Gabe” Krahulik, and Ken Levine, who made a little game called BioShock. After tallying the choices the winner by popular vote was Epona from The Legend of Zelda, followed closely by Rapidash from Pokemon. Well, unless the popular vote was done by their readers, in which case Epona came in second to Agro from Shadow of the Colossus. Next month promises to have a similar discussion on a different species. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for monkeys.

No, horses do not hatch from eggs. It would sure be a lot easier on everyone if they did though.
