The Internet Pulls an Elder Scrolls V Rumor Out of its Ass

sideshow bob

The internet never ceases to amaze.

Yesterday, Abstract 360 posted that the newest issue of Famitsu says Bethesda and a couple other companies have some secret things they’re going to present at E3. Let’s stop here for a second. The news here is that last sentence. The magazine apparently says that EA, Capcom, Konami, Square Enix, Sega, Ubisoft and Bethesda all have surprises planned for E3, and it’s interesting to learn which companies might be still hiding things.

However, Abstract 360 decided to speculate that Bethesda’s secret announcement is Elder Scrolls V. That’s a perfectly logical guess. But it’s only a guess, and that completely unfounded and uninformed speculation has been picked up mindlessly as if it were a legitimate rumor sparked by somebody who actually knows something. Congrats, internet, you have egg on your face yet again.

Note to internet: it may turn out that Elder Scrolls V actually is Bethesda’s big secret thing for E3. If that is the case, it does not mean what I’ve written here is wrong. It would just mean that Abstract 360 guessed correctly.

It’s weird that you talk to “the Internet” as though it were a real person … I don’t think it can hear you …

That’s where you’re wrong, Bobo.

The Internetz are always listening.
