The Internet Says Portal 2 Has Move Support, Valve Says It Does Not

Yesterday, the German Playstation blog posted an interview with Chet from Valve, and he seemed to say Portal 2 would have full Move support on PS3. That’s how Google translates it, and, more importantly, that’s how Eurogamer Germany reported it. Said interpretation:

So the move to the PlayStation 3 comes late – we’re sorry for that. As a small compensation we have PS3-exclusive cloud saving, a free code for PC and complete PlayStation Move support.

That looks pretty cut and dry, but somehow it isn’t, because I got the following email from Valve earlier this afternoon:

There’s a story making the rounds regarding Portal 2 support for PS3 Move.

Unfortunately this quote was ‘lost in translation’ — Portal 2 does not include support for Sony’s motion controller.

Short and sweet. I like it. I guess that clears this whole thing up. Y’all can finally get some rest now.
