The Last of Us Takes Top Honors at BAFTA Awards

The Last of Us continued to fill Naughty Dog’s trophy cabinet last night, taking home Best Game of 2013 as well as four other honors at the 2014 BAFTA Awards.

After winning a ridiculous 10 awards, including Game of the Year, at the DICE Awards in February, The Last of Us continued its run at the BATFAs, winning Best Game, Audio Achievement, Best Performer (Ashley Johnson as Ellie), Best Story, and Best Action and Adventure game.

The BAFTAs also heaped praise on Grand Theft Auto 5, with top honors for Game Design, Multiplayer, and Best British Game.

It was a good year for indies at the BAFTAs, as well, with Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons winning the Innovation award, Gone Home winning for Best Debut, and Papers, Please taking best Strategy and Simulation game. I highly recommend you play all three if you haven’t yet.

Head over to the BAFTA Awards site for all the winners and nominees.
