The Playstation Store is Back like Squigglepants!

Tonight we’ve arrived at part two of the “OH S–T PLAYSTATION THINGS ARE WORKING AGAIN OMG” saga as the Playstation Store has been restored in the United States. [edit: also in every territory except Asia.] Unfortunately, the Welcome Back pack isn’t ready to go, and the store is generally wonky, giving out errors at random, but it does work well enough that you can buy stuff, and that’s all that matters for the moment. Note: if you get an error when launching the store, try restarting your console. That seemed to work for me.

On top of that, there’s plenty of “new” content in there. I use the sarcastic quotes because the new stuff is all just the backlog of content that had been collecting dust while the store was down over the past six weeks. But it’s a start.

Bask in this, people. Everything is almost right with the world, at least for right now.

The disturbance in the force is coming to an end. Rejoyce.
