The Showdown Effect Pre-Release Trailer Shows Death in Slo-Mo

The Showdown Effect is out next week, and with its impending release, the game’s developers at Arrowhead have released a new trailer to showcase its gameplay and all it has to offer.

The game can be described as a competitive two-dimensional brawler that pays homage to action movies from the 90s. Instead of plowing through entire levels of enemies, players battle amongst each other instead. Two men enter, one man leaves.

The latest trailer, which is set to the score of Johann Strauss, is aptly titled “Le Ballet of Death” and shows the game’s various characters attempting to kill each other in slow motion. Armed with pistols, rocket lauchers, miniguns, knives, and a variety of other deadly armaments, the video is pretty darn artistic to behold.

Check it out below.
