The Week in Demos and Patches: December 30 – January 5
It was another slow week for demos, what with all of the new games that came out over the holiday season and new titles for 2008 still waiting in the wings. However, FileFront did manage to get a seven demos sent to them, and as usual they also received an influx of patches. Seventeen titles had patches issued and if your game is not listed this week just look through the list to see if it came out a while back. While you are at it, you may also want to check out the new gaming clients that were added this week as well.
Here’s hoping that all of you had a wonderful New Year’s celebration, and I am keeping my fingers crossed that you stick with your resolutions. I have already ruined one of mine. Damn stray cats, why they always show up at my door I will never know… I am on the threshold of becoming a crazy cat lady, instead of just plain old crazy.
Here are just some of the demos that came our way this week:
Zombie Shooter - The human race is in danger again. This time scientists could not cope the imminent threat and became monsters themselves. Crowds of zombie people filled the secret research base. The dreadful contagion is about to spread earth wide. Fight your way through contaminated hordes using 10 types of weapons, improve the character’s skills, and upgrade available arms with the money earned.
Deep Blue Sea – In Deep Blue Sea, you will find treasure and adventure in an underwater world. The mystery of the aquatic people of Avalonia unfolds as you discover the scattered fragments of their Sacred Amulets, salvaging treasure along the way. Kind of like Jewel Quest, this game is also available for Mac users.
Arvoch Conflict – StarWraith 3D Games has released an updated demo for their squad-based 3D space combat simulator featuring elements of real-time strategy, resource management, and Dogfight, Squadrons, and Cooperative combat multiplayer modes.
Patches are listed after the break, but you can check out more of everything by clicking on the links at the beginning of this post.
