This is What Crysis Looks Like on Consoles

Four years later, Crysis is coming to home consoles, despite the fact that console tech has not advanced even a little bit in that time. And it shows in the footage you’re about to see; s–t just isn’t quite as sharp as you remember. PC always wins out, it seems. Anyway, come October all the console lame-os will finally be able to play the game we got bored with in 2007.

Certain aspects of it look good, while others make you remember why the PC has superior graphic capabilities

hmmm looks like they have got it running under cryengine 3, the lighting structure gives it away! it`d be nice to see it working under that engine on the pc in DX11! might need a new rig for it tho! Ha!

Graphics is just one aspect that makes a great game. Gameplay, story, sound, control are all EQUALLY important. With console graphics like that I don’t have a strong urge to go to PC gaming.

Just look at DEHR and resistance3 for consoles. Graphically inferior compared to PC and not photogenic but both are great fun games to play.

I get to play them on my PS3 which I only paid $300 2 years ago and will continue to be able to play great fun titles for at least another 2 years.

Now that’s value.

I use a console because I can’t afford to keep up with an updated PC at this stage in my life. I like to just relax and kick back with a good RPG a few hours a week. That makes me a “lame-o”? I see. I guess I shouldn’t – and won’t – be coming back to this website then. Later.
