Little Engines Can Do Big Things! Thomas the Train Invades Skyrim

This just might top the Macho Man Randy Savage dragon mod.

Also, if you’ve got a toddler running around, you probably want to keep them away from this video, lest you ruin their childhood.

Thomas the Tank Engine (aka Thomas the Train), the smiling choo-choo who has captivated children everywhere since the 1940s, has been transformed into a man-eating, fire-breathing menace courtesy of a mod for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. And it is hilarious.

The aptly named Really Useful Dragons mod by Polarexpresswiz replaces all of the scaled, winged beasts in Skyrim with characters from Thomas the Tank Engine’s Railway Series, and as you can see by the modded opening scene of Bethesda’s RPG below, it’s brilliant:

If you’ve watched the TV series, you probably recognize Ringo Starr as the voice of Thomas. Sadly, the mega-rich former Beatle didn’t have the time to lend his voice to this videogame mod. Shame. But there are plenty of train toots and whistles to replace dragon roars, and the mod’s creator notes that the Nexus Mods version of Really Useful Dragons features even more sounds than the Steam community version if you’re shooting for full Thomas the Tank immersion.

I fear Dovahkiin has finally met his match.
