THQ Giving Away PC Copies of Metro 2033, Plus New Last Light Trailer

If you haven’t had a chance to play 4a-games’ Metro 2033, based on the post-apocalyptic Russian novel of the same name, I have good news for you: THQ will give you a copy for free.

You’ll need to do some Facebook liking to unlock your copy of the game, which will unlock through Steam. Hit the Metro Facebook page (here), hit the “Like” button, and then hit the “Free Download” button at the top of the page, under the header image. You’ll get your instructions for your free copy there while they last.

It’s all a promo for the upcoming Metro: Last Light, 2033′s sequel, which seems to be coming along rather nicely. We’ve also been treated to a new trailer for the upcoming title, which is due to hit shelves in March 2013. Check it out below.

Download the trailer here.

Given THQ’s financial troubles, this is a sensible thing to do. They get to have those “likes” on Facebook for some advertisement, and I’m sure the company is desperate for the sequel to sell well, so the more people who have played the first, the better, even if some of those people didn’t pay for the first one.

Metro 2033 is underrated. It is a great FPS game.
