THQ Is Profitable Again, Has 4 Unannounced Games In The Works

Still a little sad that Guillermo Del Toro’s inSANE might be dead? Worried what this might mean for THQ, which seems to be bleeding IP lately? Fear not, because the company confirmed in its latest investor call that they have officially their returned to profitability, earning 15 million during the first quarter of the fiscal year, a nice turnaround after a disastrous 2011. And to celebrate, they’re CEO Jason Rubin revealed the publisher has 4 unannounced projects in the work.

I’ve been focusing primarily on upcoming projects including Darksiders 2, South Park: The Stick of Truth, Metro: Last Light and Homefront 2, as well as the titles being developed by Turtle Rock Studios, Collision, Crytek and Patrice D├ęsilets.

Beyond our announced titles, in the last 60 days, all four of our internal studios began working on new titles that represent the type of product we believe will make THQ successful in the future.

We’ll keep an eye on this as it develops. In the meantime, I’m just glad that Saint’s Row 4 is unthreatened.
