Three Grand Theft Auto Titles Now on Mac

This has been a great year for Mac gamers. First, Steam came to Mac, bringing a large number of games with it. Now, Rockstar has announced that three Grand Theft Auto titles are available for Mac.

Over at GameTreeMac, you can now pick up Grand Theft Auto III, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas, and Grand Theft Auto: Vice City. Each of Rockstar’s open-world games will run you $14.99. Buy all three, and you get the bundle for just $39.99.

TransGaming president & CEO Vikas Gupta said in a press release,

The Grand Theft Auto series has been one of the most highly demanded titles by the Mac community. The availability of this incredible franchise on the Mac underscores [GameTreeMac operator] TransGaming’s role in transforming the overall Mac gaming market. These games will be widely available and will be a great catalyst to the increasing popularity of gaming on the Mac.

The titles are exclusive to GameTreeMac for 30 days, after which they will become available through other retailers.

Jack, I believe you may have us confused with another site. Since we opened in 2001, GameFront/FileFront has never charged users to download from our servers. We did have a subscription service at one time that allow access to faster servers, but we removed that option years ago and opened those servers to all our users.
