Titanfall Dev Announces New Multiplayer Modes

Respawn Entertainment has announced two new play modes for Titanfall.

Writing in a recent blog post for E3 2014, the developer unveiled several new updates to the game, chief among which are the new Marked for Death and Wingman LTS game modes.

The Marked for Death mode will be a 6-on-6 competition where one player per team is marked as a target. Each team then has to track down their target and kill them while defending their own marked player. The Wingman LTS mode, in turn, will be a 2-on-2 version of the Last Titan Standing mode that the developer feels will be “great for players who want to play an even more tactical version of LTS.”

In addition to these new play modes Respawn revealed that it will be making other modifications to the game. Burn cards, for instance, are being adjusted so that they give benefits to both pilots and Titans. In the future, players will also be given new decal and voice options that they can unlock as they complete in-game challenges. The studio will also be making more changes to its matchmaking to keep skill levels between players closer. Respawn hasn’t revealed when this update will be released.
