Titanfall’s Minimum PC Requirements Are Very Official, Very Low

Titans will start falling from the sky in a matter of weeks, and Respawn Entertainment Founder Vince Zampella has let loose the minimum PC requirements for the hybrid shooter.

Titanfall was built on Valve’s Source engine (heavily modified, as was the case with the version of id Tech 3 used in Call of Duty titles), so I’ve always expected the minimum hardware specs to be, well, quite minimal. Zampella confirmed as much a few hours ago.

The minimum requirements are…

In other words: Any gaming PC built within the last five or six years can run Titanfall. If you’re still rocking a Core 2 Duo E8400 and an 8800GT, the experience isn’t going to be stellar, but at least you’ll be (just barely) Prepared For Titanfall.

Zampella, when asked about Titanfall coming to Mac, confirmed that there wouldn’t be a Mac version at launch, but he “would like to see it happen.”

The above specifications tweet was actually a correction of an earlier tweet that listed the minimum VRAM requirement at 512 GB. If such a card existed, I think it would have launched its own Skynet by now.
