To The Moon Now Available, Along With Soundtrack — You Should Buy It

To The Moon isn’t much of a video game in the traditional sense, seeing as it mostly … lacks gameplay.

That said, if you like well-written stories, 16-bit graphics and great soundtracks, you should go buy it. It’s now available on developer Freebird Games’ website. Go get it right here.

We’ve seen a few interesting trailers about the game (this one that shows it in action, and this one narrated by creator Kan Gao), and in my review of the game I mentioned that it has some really great writing — amply mixing humor and heartbreak, something we don’t get nearly enough of in this industry.

I’d suggest checking out the review (I think it’s fair to say that To The Moon isn’t for everyone) and the trailers, and then getting over to Freebird and buying the game. You should snag the largely piano soundtrack as well, which is easily on par with the greats of the 1990s that were mostly attached to Squaresoft games. Half the proceeds from soundtrack sales go to autism research, by the way.
