Tomb Raider Anniversary `Coliseum` Trailer
There are two new videos up for the soon-to-be-released Tomb Raider Anniversary, a remake of the original game that features enhanced graphics, updated controls, and new cinematics. One video is a developer diary, and the other is a trailer showing off the gameplay. From the looks of things, I’d say the developers took a page from the Prince of Persia School of Acrobatics textbook; although, Lara still does backflips through the air while shooting enemies, like giant monkeys. I was hoping they’d at least show off one of the dinosaurs though.
I’m sorry, but I missed the boat on this one apparently. I played the original Tomb Raider when it first came out, and while I have to give it credit for being the first popular third-person action game, I never really saw what the big deal was. Sure the game was pretty fun for the times, but it doesn’t really hold a special place for me in the timeline of games. Me, I’m still hoping for a modern update to Bionic Commando.
