Tomb Raider On PC Offers High Resolution Textures, Steamworks
The PC version of Tomb Raider will not be playing second string to its console counterparts, Square Enix has announced. The publisher says that the PC version of the title, which stars Lara Croft, will offer higher fidelity graphics and a host of improvements over the console versions.
The publisher named Nixxes as its partner in helping to port the game to the PC. The same studio handled the PC versions of Deus Ex: Human Revolution and Lara Croft and the Guardian of Light, both of which were lauded for their “nativeness” to the PC.
The PC version of Tomb Raider will come with Steamworks and Big Picture support, detail tessellation, improved SSAO, post-filter effects, and high resolution textures, in addition to other optimizations and support for mouse and keyboard controls. Additionally, the game is expected to support AMD Eyefinity and AMD HD3D.
