Top 10 Battlefield 2 Mods

5. Project Reality: Battlefield 2

What a haunting trailer. This mod aims to create a more realistic combat environment for BF2, which includes adjusting various elements such as physics, visual effects and overall game play. Introduced in this mod are British, Insurgent, IDF forces, Canadian, and Russian factions.

4. Point of Existence: 2

Here’s a twist: Ukraine seeks to recapture the glory of the USSR in this mod, and US and German forces must ally to stop them. Players can choose to be on either side of this eastern European conflict, which comes complete with maps, new weapons, new models for planes, tanks, cars, APCs and more.

3. Allied Intent Xtended

The focus of this mod is on delivering the best singleplayer experience possible. It features 14 custom maps, a new UN Army, 37 custom weapons and 7 custom kit items, 32 new aircraft, and new bot AI to keep you on your toes.

2. BF2:Sandbox

Here’s something… else. This mod turns BF2 into a sandbox game, allowing you to build structures, set up racetracks, ramps, and God only knows how much more. A simple interface makes shaping the world at your whim easy, and you can even save your creations and send them to your friends. Multiplayer support is also included, so players can collaboratively construct buildings, wage wars, and basically play Minecraft.

1. Forgotten Hope 2

This mod focuses on tactical gameplay and historical accuracy, covering the major battles of World War 2. You can play as a German, American, British, Canadian, Australian or Italian soldier and use an extensive arsenal of weapons and vehicles that accurately portrays the assets available to those nations at the time.

The team-oriented gameplay is chaotic and intense, with tank battles, artillery bombardments, dog-fights, rifleman firefights, and close quarter shootouts, all of which can be experienced in both Multi-player and Single-player/Coop game modes.

I definetly think that PR should be considered the best one, as it’s as a separated game and took 5 years to be produced and still being improved (as new maps are released).
Like, for a lot of the mods, they almost didnt put a lot of vehicles, as on PR, they put a lot of vehicles, improved some sights, put some things such as the thing that restores part of your health (I just forgot the name), the zoom feature for the vehicles, the AA Humvee, the necessity of kits to each kind of vehicle (like, if you aren’t a crewman, you can’t drive a tank), the ammo selection, the area attack (thats like a mega howitzer strike), the mannable canons, the Hueys, the SOFLAM (wich, on the game, has other name, but now I’m remembering only the one from BF3), binoculars and much more…
