Ever since Minecraft’s Adventure Update, a new type of map became popular: adventure maps, in which players have objectives to accomplish and restrictions on what they can do. Of course, these maps already existed, but the update facilitated their construction and opened them up to the community.

10. EscapeCraft 3
We begin this list with the third installment of the Escapecraft series, which has made its mark on the Minecraft Adventure scene. This version features dozens of rooms, two endings, a custom texture pack, and devious puzzles.
9. EscapeCraft – Beta
This first installment in the EscapeCraft series was actually just a beta to gauge interest. Well, there was enough interest to spawn a series. Escapecraft is a room-escape puzzle game in which players decipher clues and solve riddles.
8. QuestWorld – Shipwrecked
In this map, you’re shipwrecked, with no way home. By completing quests, you get access to new cities, more quests and better rewards. If you help enough people during your life, you may go to heaven, which marks the map’s ending.
7. Forgotten Temple
This map is one of the first Adventure maps released, with puzzles to solve and challenges to clear. It contains about 25 minutes of gameplay and many interesting and unexpected puzzles.
6. CUBE Inc: Overhaul
If you’re a Portal fan, you’ll appreciate this map. I don’t want to spoil anything for you, but it’s theme is similar to Portal’s, and it carries the same great sense of humor.
