Top 10 Mortal Kombat Theme Song Remixes

Everyone recognizes the iconic Mortal Kombat techno theme song from the early 90s, but few people know that the song is actually titled Techno Syndrome, by The Immortals. Not that it matters, because everyone calls it The Mortal Kombat Theme, anyway.

Here are ten remixes of a classic that you’ll either hate or love.

1. A metal cover by Ryashon.

2. A mash-up of Ryashon’s metal cover with the original–the best of both worlds. It punches up the original with heavier beats and guitar riffs.

3. Pop out the glow sticks, because here’s a trance/club/rave/some kind of “softer” techno remix.

4. This one has an old-school charm to it, with some 8-bit influences.

5. Another heavy metal version–it has a distinct sound relative to Ryashon’s.

6. A techno/trance remix; this one has about 15 seconds of dead air at the start, but you get the see the program used to create the song.

7. Another techno remix–this one has a sound that reminds me of that Blood Rave song from the original Blade.

8. This techno remix stays most true to the original and throws in quotes from the movie.

9. Props to this guy for his live performance, combining keyboard and guitar.

10. And by far the best, the beat box remix.

If you think you are really hardcore, then listen to all ten. At the same time.
