5. JA+ Mod V2.4 Build 7
This server-side mod allows an admin to customize their server and is of particular interest for clans. Server admins can give clan members various powers through the two admin ranks of “Knight” and “Council,” including regular admin abilities such as kicking players and changing map, but also allowing them to teleport to different places on the map. Oh, and did I mention there’s a grappling hook as a fun way of getting around maps?
Of course, a client-side version is also available for those singleplayer gamers.
4. bloodPLUS Gore/Dismemberment Mod
If you want a less kid-friendly experience, add a little grit to your Star Wars game with this blood and gore mod. Blood splatter and dismemberment could be considered added “realism,” but really, it’s just more satisfying to have your saber swipes and blaster shots have more impact than sparks.
Two variants are included in this mod: one which emphasizes volume and area coverage, and one with smaller textures that spurt more often.
3. Movie Battles II V0.0.2 – Full
This gigantic mod features a vast selection of new models and skins that are selectable in-game, new weapons and effects to go with them, new maps, and a revamped HUD.
Every class has multiple models or skins to choose from — often up to a dozen per class — allowing you to play as Darth Traya, Count Dooku, Jerec, Darth Maul, Dark Malak, Darth Talon, and more of your favorites. Most of these custom models/skins even have custom sounds to go with them.
2. Star Wars Movie Duels (2)
This total conversion allows players to relive the most famous movie duels from Episodes 1, 2, and 3, as well as the Rise of the Empire era, as either Jedi or Sith. If you select the side that lost in the official canon and win, you get to see an alternate storyline play out.
The mod includes 19 missions inspired by the films, as well as plenty of bonus missions, complete with new animations, cinematics, maps, and effects. Further, a new “Challenge Mode” enables players to duel all the major players in the films across 15 stages.
1. The Force Unleashed Pack
Inspired by The Force Unleashed, this mod is a combination saber mod and effects mod. The included saber models are the single and backhand models of the saber hilt owned by TFU’s Secret Apprentice, Galen Marek.
All color blade effects of the lightsaber and swing effects are modified with this mod, as well as the force lightning visuals and the fancy sparks that sprout when two sabers clash. Also included are new sound effects for the lightsaber.
