Top Saints Row 4 Mods
The fourth installment of the Saints Row series has barely been out for two weeks, but modders are already hard at work cranking out modifications and improvements. Not that there’s much to improve, as our Ross Lincoln points out in his review. Still, you can count on the modding scene to find something to either add, expand on, or tweak.
Here are five mods you should check out, and be sure to revisit this page in the future, as we’ll be updating our mod list.
5. Unlimited Super Powers Mod (+Extended Rifts)
This small mod gives you unlimited super powers by removing both the recharge time and cost to all powers. You can pretend to be Liu Kang and shoot fireballs all day. It also prevents powers from being taken away when you are in the range of an anti-power grenade.
Note: this mod does not remove the cost of purchasing or upgrading a power.
The download also includes the Extended Rifts mod, which extends the radius of rifts throughout virtual Steelport that cause weird NPC behavior, such as huge eyes, elongated arms, walking upside down, etc. The mod comes in two varieties; the recommended 4x version, which extends the radius to roughly a city block per rift, and an infinite version which converts the entire city.
4. Customize Any Vehicle Plus Wardrobe Color Changer
This mod adds a “Customize” menu choice to any vehicle accessed at a gateway garage. It also removes all restrictions, which means you can now customize unique vehicle, planes, and helicopters. The mod also gives you access to the color grid while in your wardrobe, enabling you to recolor any clothing item you own without having to go out and buy a new one.
3. SRIV Clothes Fixes
A work in progress, this mod seeks to fix quality issues with certain items of clothing in the game. The mod author is upscaling and reworking textures, adjusting normal maps, fixing glow issues, and allowing certain items of clothing to be recolored in-game via customization.
2. Additional clothing for sale
This small mod simply makes three items of clothing available for purchase in the game: Cyrus Armor, Puckish Rogue, and Ransom Collector Armor. They are readily available at Let’s Pretend.
1. Additional Cheats
Here’s the mother-load. This mod adds 160 new cheats to the game. It also modifies all cheats so that they no longer interfere with your autosaves.
There are cheats to gain experience, lower the gravity, make yourself a giant or a midget, hide the HUD, as well as grant you any weapon or vehicle. Oh, and more, of course. There’s always more.
Once again, don’t forget to check back in the future for more great Saints Row 4 mods!
