Total War: Rome II Campaign Video Shows Off Diplomacy

Sega and Creative Assembly have put together a new Let’s Play video with Trish Ryniak and Campaign Designer Dom Starr to talk about the game’s factions, diplomacy, and campaign map.

Throughout the video, Dom talks about some of the game’s factions, houses, traits, and how your starting choice influences how the rest of the game unfolds. The video also provides a glimpse of some of the inner workings of the game’s cities as Dom and Trish take a look around in their latest in-progress campaign as Carthage.

Sega has confirmed that Total War: Rome 2 will be released on September 3 for the PC, with a collector’s edition of the game and pre-order bonuses.

Was I the only one cursing every time I had to watch footage of two people staring at a computer screen when they decided to, for apparently no reason, cut away from the game itself? I guess these sorts of comments were CA’s goal? Seriously, I was drinking in all the faction and map details, reading the text that they were glossing over, and then there were giant segments where I had to just sit there and watch them look at it.

Who directs these things?
