Total War: Shogun 2 Gets A Gold Edition With Everything In It

Sega has announced its plans to release a bundle for Total War: Shogun 2 containing the base game and both expansion packs. Dubbed the Total War: Shogun 2 Gold Edition, the upcoming version of the game is set for release in North America and Europe, on March 5th and March 8th, respectively.

It’s clearly designed for gamers who don’t want to go through the hassle of waiting for a Steam sale to pick up the base game and all of its expansions—something I did a few weeks ago during Christmas.

The US version of the game will contain the base game and its two full-fledged expansions, Rise of the Samurai, and Fall of the Samurai. The European version is set to receive an even bigger version for the same price, which includes all ten additional DLC, including two Elite Unit packs and seven Clan packs that expand the game almost as much as either full expansion.

Owners of the upcoming Gold Pack should have no problem using mods found on the Steam Workshop.

In addition to the regular Gold Edition, Sega is also releasing a limited run edition inspired by Japanese lacquered wood. You can take a look at the packaging below.
