Ubisoft Announces Free-to-Play Ghost Recon Online (TRAILER)

A free-to-play, online, PC-based third-person shooter: that’s Ghost Recon Online, and allow me to reiterate again that it’s free.

Ubisoft announced the game, launching in closed beta this summer and opening up to more players later this year. It looks and sounds a lot like other versions of the company’s Ghost Recon series (which you can see for yourself in the trailer below), with the notable exception of being free to all. Ubisoft will make it’s money FarmVille style, by selling premium items and weapons, to allow players to “fully personalize their experience,” according to the press release.

So watch the trailer below, then jump over to ghostrecononline.com and sign up for the beta.

I want to like the idea but I tried battlefield play 4 free and was not too impressed. The controls felt really bad. I’ll sign up but I just hope it’s justifiable to play.
