Ubisoft Finally Hands Out Beowulf Game Screens

beowulfbeowulfbeowulfbeowulf

For months, Ubisoft has been stingy with screenshots from their upcoming title Beowulf. They have given us many a trailer, but nary a single gaming screenshot. You can’t blame them though – they have been so busy promoting Assassin’s Creed and their pin-up girl Jade Raymond that everything else has kind of been put on the back burner. Today they have made up for it though by giving us nine new enticing screens from the game, and you finally get your first look at Grendel – Beowulf’s main antagonist.

Even though I am thrilled with the new screens, it is making me more antsy than ever to get a hold of the actual game. I am hoping that the back rubs I have been giving my voodoo doll of Ubisoft President Yves Guillemot will pay-off and I will see the game magically appear in my mailbox sometime before its release on November 13th. Oh, the pain of unrequited love!

Worthless piece of crap, if I want a good beowulf experience I’ll read Eaters of The Dead or watch The Thirteenth Warrior.

The Thirteenth Warrior? Would have been a much better movie without, oh, how you say? Ah yes – Antonio The Banderas.

If they had picked a better actor it would have been a pretty good movie. Eaters of the Dead, was so much better than the movie, but that is generally the case with any movie based upon a great book. The same could be said for video games based upon a movie, but I am giving this one the benefit of the doubt. Most likely my hopes and dreams will be dashed to bloody pieces, but I am trying to remain positive on this one.

I’m glad some of us can remain positive. There are just so many beowulf remakes and the like, I’m just sick of it. Pick one and stick to it, that’s what I say.
